About the festival: The Wetumpka Wildlife Arts Festival (WEWA) is Alabama’s annual premier wildlife arts festival, organized by The Kelly Fitzpatrick Center for the Arts. Open and free to the public, our mission is to engage, inspire, and educate the art and outdoor communities with a public festival celebrating Alabama’s wildlife, landscapes, and field sport traditions through the visual arts.

Birds face complex challenges in the modern era, but fortunately, conservation measures that help birds thrive also create a better, brighter future for wildlife and people. Learn how you can be part of creating that future and what Alabama Audubon is doing to protect our birds. In addition, learn how to get started in birding – the outdoor hobby that’s sweeping the nation – and learn how to find birding opportunities in your area.
