Welcome to the John L. Borom Alabama Coastal BirdFest, celebrating the extraordinary birdlife of the Alabama Coast.
Now in its twenty-fourth year and proudly hosted by Alabama Audubon, BirdFest brings together birders, families, and nature lovers
to experience peak spring migration while inspiring the protection of the region’s unique birds and habitats.
We are excited to offer a mix of fan favorites from the past as well as new trips in 2027!
Net proceeds from Alabama Coastal BirdFest directly support Alabama Audubon’s Coastal Bird Stewardship Program,
which works year-round to protect our coast’s most vulnerable bird species.
Presenting our 2027 Keynote Speaker:
Dexter Patterson
We are excited to announce Dexter Patterson, the Wisco Birder, as our 2027 keynote speaker and special guest throughout the festival.
Join us Thursday night, April 22, from 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM at Oak Hollow Farm in Fairhope Alabama. Enjoy a cocktail reception, mingle with fellow birders, and connect over dinner before hearing the keynote address from Dexter, whose work celebrates the joy of birding and connections it inspires.
