Hermit Thursh by Andrew Lydeard

Join us for our January Nature@Noon walk at the beautiful Turkey Creek Nature Preserve in Pinson, located 15 miles north of Birmingham. Every month, AL Audubon offers an hour-long Friday lunchtime walk that explores different locations across the state and its natural areas.

Turkey Creek Nature Preserve offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by natural beauty and rich biodiversity. Home to several endangered species, the Preserve protects some of the region’s most unique and ecologically rich habitats, making it a great place to bird watch. At last year's event, Andrew photographed a young Golden Eagle soaring over, so you never know what you'll see!

Meeting Time and Place: We will meet near the second parking area near the falls promptly at noon and explore along the road in search of birds.
