Belted Kingfisher
Come join our fall speaker Tamerra Jones, and our longtime friend and Black Belt Birding Festival partner Chris Joe, for fall birding you won't forget! Tamerra is one of Florida's rising birders, influencers, and conservation advocates and never fails to make every birding adventure exciting with her energy. As always, Chris will be there with his usual zest and enthusiasm for birding and conserving wildlife habitat in the Black Belt.
The walk will begin at the Marion Fish Hatchery and will be co-led by Program Coordinator Andrew Lydeard and Black Belt Coordinator Tim Higgins. The group will start at the Marion Fish Hatchery and bird some of the impoundments before caravanning into Perry Lakes Park, which is just a short drive away. Don't be surprised if there's dancing, laughing, and celebrating involved when we find some amazing birds!
This is an half day event, please dress accordingly and bring water and snacks.
