The Fall Bird Count (our 61st!) will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025. Our goal is to count as many bird species as possible by mustering as many parties as possible to cover as much of Jefferson, Shelby and St. Clair Counties as we can.

It's an all-day affair, from before sunup to sundown, or as much time as people are able to devote to the count. Feel free to reach out to a party leader (if you have participated in past counts) to arrange to join them, or, you may contact our count compiler, Greg Harber (gharber@mindpsring.com) for help in finding a party leader in your area.

In lieu of holding a count compilation at day's end, please email your results to Greg at the email address provided. Better yet, submit your results into eBird using your eBird account and share your list(s) with Greg (gharber2) from within the app/website.

No specific meeting times or locations. Individual party leaders will coordinate the plans for their county party.
