Join Alabama Audubon in celebrating Birdability Week this year from October 20 - 26, 2024! This week-long event is dedicated to making birding accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of ability. Executive Director Dr. Scot Duncan and Program Coordinator Andrew Lydeard will lead a small, wheelchair accessible outing for another celebration during Nature at Noon at Avondale Park in Birmingham.
We will travel as a group around the lake in search of birds, stopping at King’s Spring to scan the woods and edges, before making a full loop around the pond. Those who want to complete a short journey up the hill with Scot are welcome to do so while Andrew completes the loop and enjoys the birds near the spring.
Trip Leaders: Your trip leaders will be Program Coordinator Andrew Lydeard (andrew@alaudubon.org / 703-606-8956). Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or require special accessibility accommodations, so that we can better assist you.
