Born and raised in Mobile, AL, Shanell Dock developed a profound love for animals and the outdoors from a young age. Fond memories of sitting on the porch with her grandmother, watching birds, instilled in her a deep appreciation for wildlife and the natural world.

This passion led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Troy University. During her college years, Shanell dedicated her time to volunteering with Share the Beach, where she was deeply moved by the importance of wildlife conservation, particularly in safeguarding animals inhabiting coastal regions. This experience ignited her desire to contribute more significantly to the protection and preservation of beach ecosystems and their inhabitants.

Outside of her conservation efforts, Shanell spends her spare time nurturing her garden and cherishing quality moments with her niece, nephew, and goddaughter.
