Bald Eagle by Andrew Lydeard
Start the New Year off right with a serving of Bald Eagles, loons, gulls, waterfowl, and winter songbirds in and around Lake Guntersville and the nearby State Park. The lake itself is picturesque, but the crowning glory is that Guntersville is well-established as THE place in North Alabama to get excellent looks at Bald Eagles.
TRAVEL INFORMATION : We will have two meeting location options: (1) At the Birmingham Botanical Gardens parking lot at 7:00 am. The Birmingham group will caravan/carpool to meet up with the Guntersville group. (2) In Guntersville at the McDonald's restaurant on US 431 at 8:30 am.

This event is free but registration is required.
Accessibility: Up to 0.50 miles walking terrain is pavement and hard-packed dirt/sand. There are slight uphill and downhill changes but mostly flat terrain. There are restrooms but no benches on location. This event is suitable for wheelchair users , walker users , cane or hiking pole users.
Cancellation: This event will only be canceled by Alabama Audubon in the event of unforeseen circumstances or threatening weather/hazardous conditions. Refunds (if applicable) will only be issued at the discretion of Alabama Audubon. *If you need to cancel at the last minute prior to the trip, please email or text your trip leaders to let them know!*
