NATURE@NOON
ON THE COAST / A BIRDWALK AT 5 RIVERS DELTA CENTER IN SPANISH FORT
FREE WITH REGISTRATION / SPACE IS LIMITED
REGISTRATION CLOSES THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 16 AT 12AM
Join our Coastal staff for a free lunchtime walk as we explore 5 Rivers Delta Center. This area has great views of the lower delta as well as a mature pine forest to explore. We will search for wading and water birds along the river and then head into the woods to look for Golden-crowned Kinglets, Brown Nuthatch, and more. Eagles are pretty consistently seen at this location this time of year as well!
If you are interested in learning how to identify some of the common birds that call Baldwin and Mobile county home, this is a great place to start. We will begin our walk on the back deck of the 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center and scan the marsh and mudlflats and then continue along the water looking for gulls and terns before heading into the wooded trail.
All ages and birding levels are welcome. We will have binoculars available to borrow.

EQUITY, DIVERSITY, & INCLUSION
Through more than seventy-five years of conservation work in one of our nation’s most ecologically rich states, Alabama Audubon has seen firsthand how diversity strengthens natural communities. This same principle applies to human communities, which is why our organization is committed to providing equitable and inclusive opportunities for all Alabamians to learn about and enjoy wild birds, their habitats, and the natural world. One of the best ways to support that belief is by valuing and actively seeking to strengthen diversity among our staff, our board, and our membership. To that end, Alabama Audubon welcomes everyone to participate in our work, and strives to make our programs, classes, and events welcome, inclusive, and accessible to all.
