Join Alabama Audubon and Cahaba River Coalition on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Perry Lakes Park. ( AL-175, Marion, AL 36756).

We’ll kick off the morning with litter pickup, trail clearing, and removing leaves and debris from built structures. Afterward, we’ll sort and weigh the collected litter before wrapping up with a picnic on Barton’s Beach.

Cleanup supplies will be provided, including gloves, grabbers, and trash bags. Participants are encouraged to bring their own trail-clearing tools if available, such as clippers, blowers, brooms, rakes, or shovels.

What to bring:

• Water (at least 1 liter)

• Lunch/Snacks

• Bug spray

• Sun hat

• Close-toed shoes (required)

• Weather-appropriate clothes 

• Clippers (if possible)

• Blowers (if possible)

• Brooms (if possible)

• Rakes (if possible)

• Shovels (if possible)
