Get ready to spread your wings and celebrate! At this event, we will reveal our 2025 Bird of the Year, one that will will celebrate and learn about throughout 2025.
ABOUT BIRD OF THE YEAR
Bird of the Year is an exciting new fundraiser through which ALABAMA AUDUBON will choose a native bird species that is observed often in the state—either year-round or through regular migration—and one that will directly benefit from Alabama Audubon’s conservation programs. The 2025 Bird of the Year is particularly loved by Alabama’s growing community of people who come together to celebrate birds and advocate for their protection, and was a standout species across 2024—but the full story will be told the night of the party. Throughout the year, the bird will be prominently featured in outreach programs.
Who will our feathered friend be in 2025? The original artwork showcasing our Bird of the Year will be available for auction, plus there will be a chance to snag some limited edition prints as well.
Enjoy an afternoon of music, delicious food, birdy connections, and support our conservation efforts! We look forward to seeing you there! No dress code - come comfortable and ready to talk about birds!
We will also be awarding our first annual Avian Ally award to an organization that went above and beyond to help protect Alabama’s birds over the last year.
