PopUp Social: Alabama Audubon at Elysian Gardens
June 13 , 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Join us for our first PopUp Social! We have decided we deserve to have a little fun as we explore the city while we support our partners and local businesses. This time, we will be meeting at Elysian Gardens on June 13 from 4-7pm. As we grow, we want to create more opportunities for our friends to come together and enjoy one another’s company.
The Scene: Since opening Elysian Gardens has become a community stage for local live music, theater, comedy, and special events. The Artifice Garden Bar serves one-of-a-kind cocktails and local beers, and there are two restaurants, all tucked within a giant whimsical sculpture park right in the heart of Avondale. Elysian Gardens uses art as an economic engine to create real and lasting impact that connects neighbors and communities to improve well-being and quality of life.
And that’s what we want, too! So, we hope you’ll bring yourselves, bring a friend, and bring a blanket to lounge on the lawn as you hang out with your fellow bird-lovers. What birds have you seen lately and where? We want to know.
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Through more than seventy-five years of conservation work in one of our nation’s most ecologically rich states, Alabama Audubon has seen firsthand how diversity strengthens natural communities. This same principle applies to human communities, which is why our organization is committed to providing equitable and inclusive opportunities for all Alabamians to learn about and enjoy wild birds, their habitats, and the natural world. One of the best ways to support that belief is by valuing and actively seeking to strengthen diversity among our staff, our board, and our membership. To that end, Alabama Audubon welcomes everyone to participate in our work, and strives to make our programs, classes, and events welcome, inclusive, and accessible to all.
