The North Alabama Young Birders will work to build a birding community among young birders and will host guest speakers from Alabama Audubon and other seasoned birders.
Our first meetings will include discussions on attracting birds to your home and bird identification. We welcome interested young birders ages 8–17 years old.
We will also include group bird walks through-out the year to sharpen our bird ID skills, including the Whooping Crane viewing at Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge in January.
No equipment required; however, a good pair of binoculars would greatly enhance your birding experience.
