Birmingham Audubon Teaches Nature: Alabama Birding Trails

April 30, 2017, 2:00 pm4:00 pm

Join us Sunday, April 30th, as we explore the success of the Alabama Birding Trails program, with guest speaker and Birmingham Audubon president Joe Watts.

Over four-hundred bird species occur in Alabama, making our state an excellent place to indulge your birding hobby (or obsession!). With two-hundred-and-seventy publicly accessible sites scattered across the state, the Alabama Birding Trails programs makes enjoying that hobby even easier.

As always, Birmingham Audubon Teaches Nature programs are held at either the Alabama Wildlife Center at Oak Mountain State Park, or at the adjacent Oak Mountain Interpretive Center. Admission to the park is $5 per adult (age 12+), $2 per child (age 4 to 11), $2 per senior (age 62+), and free for ages 3 & under. There is no charge for the program.

The 2016–2017 season of Birmingham Audubon Teaches Nature is co-sponsored by Birmingham Audubon, the Alabama Wildlife Center, Oak Mountain Interpretive Center, and the Friends of Oak Mountain.
