June 24, 2021 , 9:00 am

Tune into our Facebook page on Thursday, June 24th, at 9 a.m. CDT for a special Pride month Let’s Go Birding Together Facebook Live excursion in the Black Belt with our Outreach & Communications Director, Sarah Randolph, our Black Belt Coordinator, Meg Ford, and board member Doug Baulos. Together, they’ll be birding around Moundville Archaeological Park—one of our Black Belt Birding Festival field trip sites. In the event of inclement weather, we will publicize an alternate date.

No need to register—simply go to facebook.com/alaudubon (@alaudubon) that morning and click on the post once you see we’ve gone live!

“Y’all means ALL.” Through more than seventy-five years of conservation work in one of our nation’s most ecologically rich states, Alabama Audubon has seen firsthand how diversity strengthens natural communities. We believe that the same principle applies to human communities, which is why our organization is committed to providing equitable opportunities for all Alabamians to learn about and enjoy wild birds, their habitats, and the natural world. One of the best ways to support that belief is by valuing and actively seeking to strengthen diversity among our staff, our board, and our membership. To that end, Alabama Audubon welcomes the whole of our community to our work, and strives to make our programs, classes, and events open and accessible to all.
