Gosse Nature Walk #27: Mountain Brook Cahaba River Walk

February 7, 2020 , 12:00 pm 2:00 pm

Cedar Waxwing by Joe Watts.

Come explore this riparian habitat with Alabama Audubon staff, led by our Science & Conservation Director Dr. Lianne Koczur and Outreach & Communications Director Sarah Randolph, as they tour this interesting public park on the banks of the diverse, free-flowing Cahaba River. It’s a great birding hotspot in #BIRDingham!

The details: Meetup is at noon in the park’s main parking lot (3503 Overton Rd., Mountain Brook). As always, Gosse Nature Walks are free and open to the public; just be sure to bring water, snacks, comfortable shoes, and seasonally appropriate attire. (We’ll have some extra binoculars on hand, but encourage you to bring your own.)

Trip leader: Alabama Audubon Science & Conservation Director Dr. Lianne Koczur leads this walk along with our Outreach & Communications Director Sarah Randolph. Feel free to email us if you have questions. Sarah’s cell is 205-422-4124 (day of field trip onlyplease).
