Coastal: Spring ACBS Bird ID Walk

March 9, 2019

In preparation for the spring Audubon Coastal Bird Surveys (ACBS), which start March 20th, the Birmingham Audubon Coastal Program is offering volunteers a one-day training on Saturday, March 9th. Skip the classroom and join us on the beach learning Alabama’s coastal birds with our expert birders Emma Rhodes and Andrew Haffenden. These ID walks are not only good for training to become part of the ACBS surveys, but also for any other volunteer opportunities. The more you know about Alabama’s birds, the easier it is for you to take that message into breeding season as a steward or participate at an outreach event and educate folks about our feathered friends.
