Tom Imhof Memorial Beginner Bird Walk: Birmingham Botanical Gardens
November 9, 2018, 8:00 am–11:00 am

UPDATE: We are keeping an eye on the weather, but we still plan to meet at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens tomorrow morning at 8:00. If it’s just a light rain, we can still have our walk. However, if it’s pouring or thunderstorms, we will have to cancel this walk. You never know with Alabama weather! Stay tuned…
Birmingham Audubon’s Tom Imhof Memorial Beginner Bird Walk series continues with a trip to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. If you’re new to birding, returning after an absence, or just interested in checking out the fall migrants, we invite you to join us for an easy morning walk at this Birmingham institution.
The details: Meetup is at 8 a.m., in the Gardens’ Blount Plaza. For a detailed map, click here.
Insect repellent, rain gear, sunblock, and seasonally appropriate attire may all come in handy, depending on the weather. If you have your own binoculars, you’ll definitely want to bring them along, although we will have a limited number of loaners on hand.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible with paved paths
(Questions about accessibility? Email us for more information about how we can meet your needs.)
The birds: View the most recent eBird list for the Gardens here.
Trip leader: Birmingham Audubon Outreach & Communications Director Sarah Randolph leads this trip. If you have questions, email her or call her at 205-719-3678, opt. 3. Be sure to mention if you anticipate needing to borrow a pair of binoculars!
