Our seventeenth Gosse Nature Walk takes us to Birmingham’s Flora Johnston Nature Park, for a moderate hike on one of Birmingham’s lesser known nature trails.

The details: Meet up is at noon in the a small parking lot, located at approximately 244 Elder Street, just north of a bridge crossing Shades Creek. As always, remember to bring plenty of water and snacks, insect repellent, rain gear, sunblock, and seasonally appropriate attire. Because this is a moderate hike, you’ll definitely want to have some walking shoes before heading out.

Accessibility: Moderate hike with some uneven terrain

(Questions about accessibility? Email us for more information about how we can meet your needs.)

Trip leader: Birmingham Audubon’s Policy & Partnership Director Chris Oberholster leads this trip. For more information, email our Outreach & Communications Director, or call 205-719-3678, ext. 3.
