Birmingham Audubon’s Tom Imhof Memorial Beginner Bird Walk series continues with a trip to Avondale Park. If you’re new to birding, returning after an absence, or just interested in checking out the fall migrants, we invite you to join us for an easy morning walk at this hip urban greenspace.

The details: Meetup is at 8 a.m., under the main park sign at the intersection of 41st Street and 5th Avenue South.

Insect repellent, rain gear, sunblock, and seasonally appropriate attire may all come in handy, depending on the weather. If you have your own binoculars, you’ll definitely want to bring them along, although we will have a limited number of loaners on hand.

(Questions about accessibility? Email us for more information about how we can meet your needs.)

The birds: View the most recent eBird list for Avondale Park here.

Trip leader: Birmingham Audubon Outreach Director Ansel Payne leads this trip. Register above to RSVP—be sure to mention if you anticipate needing to borrow a pair binoculars!
