2015 John L. Borom Alabama Coastal BirdFest
September 30, 2015, 6:00 pm–October 3, 2015, 9:00 pm
This year’s event starts with workshops and the opening reception on Wednesday, Sept. 30, and continues three full days days with more than 30 expertly guided trips on land and by boat to prime bird and nature watching spots—plus two evening speaker events, additional workshops, and the free, family friendly Bird & Conservation Expo in Fairhope on Saturday, Oct. 3.
We’ve expanded to feature more of what you love about our wild and beautiful Gulf Coast by becoming a birding & nature festival! Along with great birding trips to spots on the Alabama Coastal Birding Trail, we have exciting new trips—on foot and by boat—that focus on more of our great outdoors. You’ll see and learn more about alligators, dolphins, wildflowers, pitcher plants, pine forests, butterflies, snakes, turtles, and more.

This year’s poster photographer is Patsy Russo, who also happens to be an expert birding guide and the volunteer guide coordinator for BirdFest! Patsy’s work will be featured in the 2015 “Nature Through Our Lenses” presentation, part of the Welcome Reception at 5 Rivers on Wednesday, September 30.
